The COVID-19 pandemic that swept rapidly around the world over the year created challenges for all of us. As ICP my responsibility not only to protect the spread of infection among patients, visitors as well as in health care workers. Our greatest challenge was to protect and bring awareness and education about preventive measures in health care workers and make them strong enough not only physically but emotionally as well.
Being a CIC gave me confidence in the field of Infection prevention to make timely decisions, using good judgement and problem solving skills not only this but also built trust of my administrations on me.
To achieve our mission as ICP we worked 24/7 in our healthcare facility. I have learned from this disaster situation that if we will believe on ourselves and work hard with collaboration & support of each other we can defeat covid-19.
I would like to honor my Head of department Dr Diaa Abdallah because it was not possible without his support, encouragement and enthusiasm to overcome these challenges.
