1. Why did you choose a career in infection prevention and control? 

When I started my healthcare work, I saw infection control was the best way to maintain patient safety. Patients came to healthcare with an enough complaint and IPC could help them to reduce suffering by reducing further morbidity by infection.

2. What advice would you give someone who is interested in an infection prevention and control career?

If you are interested in patient safety, Infection control is the best way to help your patient and to be healthcare challenger.
 

3. What does being a CIC® mean to you?

Help patients, community, myself and my colleagues. During My study for CIC® examination I corrected a lot of concepts in my mind about infection prevention practices

 

4. What was the best studying method for you when preparing for the initial certification examination?

I began by obtaining official study materials and textbooks while incorporating practice exams to familiarize myself with the exam format and pinpoint areas needing further attention.
 

5. What advice would you give someone pursuing certification?

CIC® is a good step to improve your infection prevention practices based on Ideal guidelines. 

6. How do you stay up-to-date on infection prevention and control practices?

Follow up many agencies interested in infection control like Infection control Institute and presenting in many conferences. Also, I will engage in patient safety agency to be up-to-date by new researches.

7. How has the CIC® helped you grow professionally and in your career?

The CIC signifies a deep understanding of Infection control principles and practices, allowing for informed decision-making in uncertain times and support me for a new job.
