The journey to be certified was a little longer for me but I was persistent to pass the exam, not only to be certified but also to keep in touch with the up-to-date of the knowledge in infection control practice. My advice is to keep reading from APIC resources and CDC in addition to practice exam questions either online or other resources in APIC (study guide) and retired questions posted on the CIC page on the facebook, always keep records for your progress in practice questions and focus on questions with repeated mistakes and read carefully the explanation for answers. Try to be involved with different groups who passed the exam to be able to get their experience to overcome the exam tricks and stress. If you didn’t pass don't lose hope, keep studying and build up on previous preparation and plan for the next test after 3 months.
