Work/APIC: Julie Weir has served as Infection Prevention and Control support in several capacities across both the Acute and Long-Term Care (LTC) sector in New Brunswick. During her time as manager of the Infection Prevention and Control group at The Moncton Hospital, she continued to support the LTC sector through education and assessments during outbreaks.
Julie has a passion for quality improvement (QI) and provides leadership through work with Choosing Wisely Canada and Healthcare Excellence Canada. These opportunities enable the integration of QI and IPAC best practice strategies, the perfect combination.
Julie has a BN, MN and is currently in the PhD program at the University of New Brunswick. Julie is serving as the 2025-2027 President of IPAC Canada.
