Boyd Wilson, MT(ASCP), MS, CIC, LTC-CIP, FAPIC

Work/APIC: Boyd is the director of infection prevention and control for Regions Hospital in Saint Paul, Minnesota, a member of the HealthPartners family of care. Prior to this role he was the system director of infection prevention and employee health and safety for the HealthEast Care System.
He served on the APIC Public Policy Committee from 2018-2020. He was a recipient of the APIC Chapter Leadership Award in 2011 and received the APIC Fellow designation in 2016. He has been active in his local chapter, APIC Minnesota, serving on the board and as chapter president. Boyd has been the recipient of the APIC Heroes of Infection Prevention Award twice, first with his team at HealthEast in 2013 and again with his current team at Regions in 2020. His team was also received the HealthPartners President’s Recognition in 2020 for their collaboration and leadership during the global pandemic and public health emergency.
Boyd is a member of the Minnesota Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI) Advisory Group and the Minnesota Hospital Association HAI Committee. He also participates in the mentor program with the School of Public Health at the University of Minnesota. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Dakota and a Master of Science degree from the University of Minnesota. Boyd has been certified in infection control (CIC) since 1999 and received his long term care certification in infection prevention (LTC-CIP) in 2022.
