Write items for the CIC® examinations

Provide references in support of the use of each item (i.e. for the correct response and the incorrect response alternatives) as well as source references.

Work closely with Test Development staff and Psychometricians.

Position requires skills in grammar, editing, and communications with internal and external customers.

Use technology appropriately and efficiently to carry out tasks.

Travel 1-2 times per year with additional conference calls and/or web conferences. Meetings of the Test Committee typically occur over weekends, with travel required on a Thursday and meeting on Friday and Saturday. Meetings include two full days of at least 8 hours of work per day. Travel expenses are covered by CBIC, including flights, food, and lodging. CBIC does not reimburse of alcohol purchases during your trip.

In some cases, workshops may be conducted remotely. Remotes meetings would be conducted in half days over a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Access to a computer and a stable internet connection is required.

Some experience in large-scale educational measurement, especially item development, strongly preferred.

Stay abreast of industry changes.

Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
