Are you interested in becoming more involved with CBIC? If so, please consider applying for a position on the 2018 CBIC Board of Directors! Applications are now being accepted. The Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CBIC®) provides direction for, and administers, the certification process for professionals in infection prevention and control.
The CBIC Board of Directors is seeking to fill four open positions in 2018. Generic skills necessary for a successful applicant include the ability to work within a multidisciplinary and international team, adhere to deadlines, communicate effectively in written and verbal formats, manage and devote the necessary time for assignments and meetings, and demonstrate leadership and change management skills as part of board participation. Specific skills of interest for 2018 also include a Registered Nurse who is currently CIC® certified and a CIC® who works in a long-term care discipline/setting. CICs across all practice settings and of all experience levels are encouraged to apply! This is a 3-year term commitment beginning on January 1, 2018.
Applications are submitted through APIC. Candidates for the CBIC Board are approved by APIC, the sole member of CBIC, and do not appear on an election ballot. If you are interested in being considered for one of these positions, get started on the application process right away - the deadline for submission is May 15, 2017.
