CBIC Celebrates Certified Infection Preventionist Day
During International Infection Prevention Week (IIPW)

Certified Infection Preventionist DayCertified Infection Prevention Week

The Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CBIC®) is pleased to announce Certified Infection Preventionist (IP) Day taking place on Thursday, October 20 during International Infection Prevention Week (IIPW) in recognition of professionals Certified in Infection Control (CIC®).

The CIC credential, administered by CBIC, identifies healthcare professionals who have shown a mastery of knowledge in infection prevention and control. Certification in Infection Control allows professionals to be recognized for competence in their specialty. Thank you for allowing us this opportunity to recognize your commitment.

To celebrate Certified Infection Preventionist Day, we have several opportunities through which we plan to recognize our certificants. First, we have posted an "honor roll" of all of our CICs on the CBIC website. We are also offering some items exclusively for CICs that can be accessed by visiting the My Certification page.

If you would like to recognize a CIC during Certified IP Day, consider giving them a CIC pin or one of our other products for individuals Certified in Infection Control.

CBIC celebrates the commitment to certification and we're proud to have the opportunity to recognize the achievement of our CICs during Certified Infection Preventionist Day.

Please don't forget to visit the APIC and CHICA-Canada websites for additional information on International Infection Prevention Week, October 17-22, 2011.
