The CBIC Board of Directors has approved an increase in the monetary award for chapters who are awarded the CBIC Chapter of the Year award to $500 beginning in 2007.  Don’t wait until January 2007 to apply.  The time is now to begin preparations for application.  Click here to download an application form and review the qualifications and information needed to apply!  Application deadline is April 1, 2007.

2006 CHICA Chapter of the Year Award

Linda Laxson, president, presented the CBIC CHICA Chapter of the Year Award to Toronto and Area Professionals in Infection Control (TPIC) at the CHICA 30^th Annual Conference May 6-10, 2006 in London, Ontario.  TPIC showed a 39% increase in 2005 for the number of chapter member who were or became certified.  That is a tremendous growth and TPIC undertook many different activities in order to promote certification and increase the number of eligible members certified.  Congratulations TPIC!

2006 APIC Chapter of the Year Award

The Northern New Jersey APIC Chapter was selected as the winner of this year’s CBIC APIC Chapter of the Year.  The chapter increased its 2005 number of certified members by a resounding 49%!  The Northern New Jersey chapter recognizes all of its newly certified chapter members by presenting them with a 14k gold filled CIC lapel pin among many of the other activities the chapter undertakes to promote certification.  Congratulations Northern New Jersey!
